SEET OurEurope Competition

For the second year running, Radio Lingua Schools is supporting the Scottish European Educational Trust's OurEurope Competition. Focusing on the European Year of Citizens 2013, the competition invites students in Scottish schools to create a film to raise awareness of the positive impact of European Institutions on the lives of young people in the EU. The competition has been designed to offer young people the opportunity to increase their knowledge and understanding of Europe, and gain a range of transferable skills through the creative process. The project encourages the use of European languages, research of European culture and institutions as well developing IT and media skills using iPads.

In the photo above, Radio Lingua Director Mark Pentleton is pictured with last year's winners from Bearsden Academy in East Dunbartonshire, along with SEET Director Sophie Buxton and Project Coordinator Jessica Parr. Mark is delighted to be involved once again with the competition and is looking forward to the next stage of this year's competition which will take place in Glasgow in February 2014.
